@Rappey69 @£6.50 per gallon (Cowes current petrol price) that would cost £20 a minute to run.

Its quite scary how much more fuel is needed to make a boat go a little faster.
I had a 20ft aluminium boat with a v6 2 stroke on the back. 70 knts if you were brave enough but 300 litres per hr at that speed .
Not sure if my nads or bank account was the smaller

My current small sports boat does 7mpg at an economical speed , and that is a very economical boat !
Thats a 998cc 50 hp 4 stroke.
