Got my e350 a couple of weeks ago but it had some niggly faults. So it’s been back with the dealer most of this week. Picked it up this afternoon with all problems now fixed, so the lumbar adjustment motor has been replaced, the parking brake now doesn’t stick, and the front wheels have been balanced. I insisted the dealer give the car a proper polish - it was clean when I bought it, but it wasn’t gleaming. It’s now had a five hour detail (apparently) and apart from a few missed cobwebs in the engine bay, which I suppose I’ll have to clean myself, I’m really pleased with the way it looks...

starting to get close to the passenger seat speed limiter kicking in (she's already been trying the passenger footwell brake pedal!!):D:D:D
Does yours (speed limiter) come with a choice of phrases? Mine usually says “Are we in a hurry?” but occasionally I get the default “Slow down!”

Well, they work now, which is great, but I haven’t properly tested them out yet. If the sun shines this weekend I’ll have a fiddle with the controls and then go for a nice long drive.

First reaction is the claws of both hands, one set into the passenger door armrest and the other set into the side of the seat, plus my name in a particular tone of voice. It all goes downhill after that if I take no notice and continue learning the feel of the car - and she does not appreciate the explanation that one day, knowing what I can and cannot do with the car, could keep us safe and possibly even save our lives. How things change over the years, when we first met and she worked for Kenning Car Hire in Cork, I could not keep up with her going from Cork Airport to Kenning's place on Western Road, she loved driving fast, the roads were loads worse than they are now, and even with her in an escort and me in a mini I could not keep up!

Good job I have very selective hearing when I'm concentrating on driving!:rolleyes::D:D

That looks better, now for some plain number plate holders or just stick them on

That’s a good idea

Managed a half hearted attempt of a clean up on mine this morning. I got it up on the lift to make life easier, particularly on the wheels and brakes etc but still couldn't be bothered doing a proper wheels off job with it.

Having said that, it's done less than 20 miles since the last time I cleaned it so it hadn't exactly got grubby and it's still in the air now, just in case I decide to do a bit more later today. Or tomorrow. Or next week...

I think that the mistake I made was having the car ceramic coated when I bought it. It certainly improves the finish and, at least in theory, protects it, but it gives me little to do which is frustrating given the time I currently have to spare.

Not sure officially Pete but I'm intentionally avoiding contact with people as I'm classed as vulnerable due to all the pills I currently have to eat on a daily basis. Not a bad thing really as there are quite a lot of people I'm very happy to be avoiding. :)
