AFAIK the bushes are bonded to the bar. You have to replace the lot.

I've not done it on a CLS, but I wouldn't think that its much different to an E class of the same age.
My only experience is on a W210, which may not apply.

Cannot be that difficult looking at the diagrams. Just remove the clamps to access the bushes and a few grazed knuckles and some swearing later and you will be done.

I know what you mean when I looked at my cls it looked as if the engine needed tilting. Or the radiators removed .. the w211 and w219 share the same chassis .... oh well !!

Haynes doesn’t do a manual for this car
The engine is the same as the E class diesels for future reference , plenty of Haynes for the E’s

The whole car is based on the e class. Just its styling is different.

I remember changing these on a friends Escort (I know) years ago. I think we had to soak them and the bar in soapy water, force them on, then settle the car down and torque the brackets up, with the car at ride height. Was 20 years ago, so that might be nonsense, that's what I remember

I also remember how easy it was on cars made years ago but sadly engineers nowadays don’t think of easy access to parts, the bolts for this anti roll bar are in a very awkward position and cannot get access to them, but thanks for your reply.
