Hi to all,
I recently purchased my new s211 e320 cdi and I am trying to fix all the little problems that the car came with. OM642 engine if that makes a difference.
I want to change the power steering fluid, can anyone advise the code or part number?
there is no issues with the steering system but I am guessing that it has never been changed and I personally cannot live with this :p

I would guess it will be similar with other models too like the c219 and its p/n A001989240310 but I want a second opinion, thanks.

If you refer to the owners manual it should tell you.

Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- ford kuga 65 plate awd powershift .
Old style was red same as atf. The newer type is central hydraulic fluid. The type I bought was more light green than yellow tbh.

Yes I remember that my CLS c219 had the green fluid in it (it was almost black) and when I changed it I purchased the A001989240310 which is green again.
This one has a yellowish colour.
Thanks again.

And there we have it...

Very interesting, thank you.
Thing is that my yellowish fluid is much more bright and also I can find some power steering fluids for Mercs in yellow colour (if not mistaken oem p/n ends in ...313) and also these have made me bit more confused.
Will try to take a photo of the fluid tomorrow.

Good advice but unfortunately I don't have an owner's manual. Only service book.
This is why I opened this subject in case an owner with same specs model could answer it to me via his manual.
I know there is a link with all Mercedes specs fluids and I will try find it too.

To my research and my understanding till now there are two possible specs, mb342.0 or mb345.0.
First is equal to CHF 7.2 if I recall it correctly and second one is CHF 11s.
I have found the CHF 11s mainly as green but I also found it in yellow/golden colour, is it possible? If that's true then what I see as a very bright yellow in my tank then it can be CHF 11s specs so I could change it with same specs but green colour.
Any advice welcome
