I did a search but, didn't find any results so please delete if its already been done and pass me the link.

So do any fellow members also ride motorcycles and what do you like/dis-like about it?

This is my current bike, owned for about 4-5 years now and follows my car mantra, purchased privately, low owners, full service history, plus every invoice for all parts and works, all original parts included. 7,500 miles. Only added R&G crash bungs, radiator guards, clear stomp grip and a powerbronze hugger

Nothing to dislike as it does everything so well. You can ride it like an automatic as it pulls cleanly from 1,500rpm and the motor is surprisingly torquey. The riding position is comfortable and doesn't put unnecessary strain on the wrists, so can be ridden for long periods without making your eyeballs bleed. I like the integrated indicators, keeps everything nice and clean but, also easy for other motorists to spot. Should you wish to take it to a track (which I have not), don't doubt, it excels as per its reputation. Mind blowing competent machine.

Before that, I had a Kawasaki ZX6R J1 for about 15 years, which I rode through most winters and snow just for fun! Likes - big, practical, Kawasaki noise. Dis likes - carb heaters didn't do anything, always egged me on.

I used to until I did a Fire Brigade course on motorcycle injuries , gave up that week after 20 years of London commuting :D .
Hopefully you will of course remain injury free , lovely Suzuki by the way , I maxed out on a Honda CBR1000 .

I don't ride much nowadays, due to the rapid decline in the calibre of drivers in this day and age, just not worth the risk for me. I just tootle around these days, only ride in day light hours if I do, I do not filter generally speaking (only slowly if there is a huge que at standstill that will not move for some time). You can't leave these things anywhere.

Post lock down may see me look at a BMW K1300S / VFR1200 type of thing to go to London a couple of times a month as none of my fleet meets ULEZ b*llocks.

@Blobcat - that's a nostalgic CBR!!! Rare to see in that condition these days. Is the BMW a work horse or a tourer?

Only the Vito left! W639/1 OM646
Similar to yours but the size up. 45,000 miles. One of the reasons I got the Vito was to take her to track days. Riding home after a track day is not a good idea.

The CBR is just so good at what it does which is why I've kept it all these years.
I was knocked off in Machynlleth in '05 and bought it back from the Insurance company for £150 - spent 10 months arguing the value of the bike as it was absolutely perfect and at 12 years old they didn't want to pay me anything like what it would cost to replace it... - You can't get the original plastics and being "sparkling red" it's quite a colour combo to match. I welded the plastics back up so it's not quite as pretty as it used to be as although the pic above was after I'd had it back so it's not too bad and means I use it (when I can...) rather than it just being an ornament...

The BM I've done 1 trip to the Black Forest and Nurburgring in '16 but I've not been around to use it much - it only has 4K miles on and is 10 years old...

Nice, I had a 996 SPS in Yellow - most people thought it was a 748 at first glance - but Yellow ones are faster ;)
It was an impulse ebay purchase after a few scoops... I traded it for a R1100SS BMW as I'd planned a tour through Europe and didn't fancy riding it on the 996

This is mine, I've had it a good number of years now but it's sat in my garage for a few years without moving. I deliberately bought something NOT fast.

That looks great for the year! I like the frame design too!

Thanks :) .....unfortunately this is the good side .... I dropped it ages back, had it painted, bought the very expensive decal for the side panel but never ever got around to fitting it.
