£227 for that damage? If so I'd say you got away with they very well!

I thought the lease company would have charged you through the nose for at least smart repair to bumper (if not full repaint) and a new rear light cluster.

Does sound cheap doesn't it. He shouldn't be too upset with that

That is exactly for that- smart repair to bumper and rear light (possibly a cover on XC90 rear which makes sense at the price), £85 for the smart repair and £142 for the light/cover....
Charges have so far not been forthcoming (trying not to tempt fate)

Just as an update, 6 weeks have now passed and NO additional charges have come my way and according to BVLRA rules of 4 weeks I got off lucky ....phew that's more money I can spend on the house alterations now!

John, sympathy to you - as one or two have said we've all done it. I have similar issues with my front and rear sensors... when I park facing our garage the grr bleeping starts at about 6 feet away - so much so that I scraped 3" on the rear wing backing in next to a grr (again!) pillar in the wall on our son's garage. No dent, just a scrape and fortunately, my local mobile "Chips Away" spray bloke saw that off for £50.

I think you will find that dealer stock gets priority, quality permitting

Yeah, I used to work, briefly, for the Audi Stock Exchange and they used the same system Funnily enough that was in Peterborough too

You got off lightly there! My better half said, omg your car is so good, I was about to reverse into something and it stopped itself!! Right ... It was late at night and I couldn't see any damage. Got me thinking ... wow, does it really do this?

2 weeks later, sun shining ... Nice bend in the bottom silver trim where she hit a post haha. Almost had me!

The problem with parking sensors is that they bleep at stuff that is miles away from you and you eventually sub-consciously ignore them .... that's how I managed to 'clip' the side of a workmate's car with my R Class - I didn't even feel it in my car, just saw his car move!
I can't get on or off my drive without sensors one side or the other shouting at me.

I have a two legged parking sensor for any tight moves,lovely gets out and looks!! Even when putting ml in or out of garage tech dont pay repair bill !!
