hello, everyone. I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, but if it has, i can not find it.
i have a Cl500, 2000 mod. and the car has ofcourse got the "abc drive carefully" fault.

The car is not level, it leans alot on the left side (both front and rear). the right side is all good.
i contacted one of the "local" mercedes workshops in my area (Oslo, norway), and told them the issue i have/had.

they told me that the abc pump is broken, and so on. so i told them to fix it, and they did. this cost 1700 euro (17,500 nok).

i drove the car home, and when i parked, the warning popped up again ("abc drive carefully").
i opend the hood, and saw there was oil leaking from the reservoir (hydraulic oil).

i called them the next day, and they told me they have to look at it again. so i drove the car over there again, and waited for a explination for the problem.

they told me that a abc hydraulic pipe is broken, and needs to be exchanged with a new one. I then asked for a rough price, and they said about 3000 euro (30,000 nok).

i told them i have to wait a little before i can say yes or no, because i just had paid 1700 euros the day prior.

they could not give me a parts number (i asked for it, because i thought that a 3000 euro pipe is a little extreme).

SO, my question is; has anyone had this problem before, where the abc hydraulic pipe is the issue for a cl model (or s-class model) to sag on one side.
AND, if anyone could send me a part number for this part. maybe send a picture of what the pipe lookes like, i have found a lot of abc hydraulic pipes online, for way less then ~ 3000 euro (i understand that 3000 euro is for parts and work etc.)

if anyone has any questions i'll make sure to awnser as quickly as possible. any help is extreamly appreciated.

ps - sorry for the bad english. its not my main language.

If you can remove the pipe go to a hydraulic specialist. They can usually make up pipes to order or repair damaged ones.

I think at 3000 Euros they're trying to put you off using them, that's scandalous, even including the labour. As LK says above, if you can get someone to take it off- go to a hydraulic workshop , for instance Hydraulics and pneumatics - Otto Olsen

i will read a little on it, thank you. And yes, i agree with you. 3000 euros is a little too much. at least for me :/

I doubt a repaired pipe will be up to £100 ukp and other costs depends on hassle to get at it.. there is on that is engine out job .but near everyone re route a new pipe to avoid doing this on r230 anyway.
Hope yr pump did not run dry on way to garage. The system will hopefully have been flushed when pump changed. Good luck

The most expensive ABC line on a 215 is the solid to flexi line that runs to the rear valve block. Cost, £380.

The lines from valve block to strut are around £150 each.

Replacement pump from MB, £580

The garage have given you a price to put you off.

The car is now at a local workshop, close to where i live. This workshop is owned by some close family friends, so i hope we (the workshop and myself) can get a deal done to fix what needs to be fixed.

And thank you, for both re reply and the good luck :)

The pump has already been replaced. That was the first thing they did. they told me that would fix the issue, but sadly, that was not the case.

thank you for the list of prices, but where do i find these listings? is there somewhere i can order the parts i need myself (when we find out what the real issue is; ie: what pipe line and so on is broken)

thank you for your reply :)
