If you have the box the lockers came in, there may still be a sticker in/on it giving the number of the key, or it may have been put into the service book or owners manual.

Don't know what sort they are on your car, but if you can see the pattern and take a picture of it you may be able to find one on eBay.

There's also this place (never used them myself): https://www.lockingwheelnutkeys.co.uk/

MB have all these on shelf in the workshop and its a matter of them going through finding the right one then giving you the number.

Any tyre place will have a tool for removing the locking nut or slowly knocking it out.

I actually removed all mine, after like you the nut got lost after having some work done.

You might find in the manual a PDI sheet with the mcguard code, with that you can order a new adapter directly from mcguard in Germany.
It‘s what I did for my smart when my eldest lost the key… less than £20
I’ve a set of the removal tools but the bolts are too recessed to work

Yes looked into that but my locker is almost tight to the rim and can’t get socket to fit in the hole that will go over the lock nut. It’s so tight a fit don’t want to ruin the alloy. Have mate with 6 Mercedes at the minute going tomorrow to try each of his in case one fits if not
there’s a guy on internet doing ones for £18 by photo might give that a try first

Lots of folk will say lockers are a waste of time these days as villans want the car, not the wheels, so there's no reason to fit lockers these days, just fit ordinary bolts - but not MB originals as they rust quicker than an 80's Alfa!! I must admit I still have lockers on both cars, but they're Ebay non-rust types not MB!

If the locking wheel bolt looks a bit tired I just take it out, wire brush and give a light mist of bright silver spray paint. Do the same to wheel bolt heads too if needed. As purchased my Viano alloys were acceptable for the vehicle type/age but let down by the wheel bolts and centre caps. With new Ebay caps and sprayed bolt heads they look loads better.

Think your right , but going by option of buying original socket for £17 if it works ? as less chance of damaging alloys rather than hammering a socket on .

Sounds like a good idea
