Hot air inside the car when i accelerate

Hi every body,

when command air conditionner is on air cold and i accelerate the air come hot??
Can any one help me plz.

I think that the pump is not working, if you have warm air in the car when it is set to cold, the duo valve is not working, or the control unit is not working

The pump is 150 in the link

The pump n° 150 is working because i was check water in the pipe number 80 also just the right side inside the car is warm when the control unit is set to cold.
This hapened when i accelerate!!!
The control unit is ok i check it.
The left side is ok.
Maybe the right solenoid (when you are inside the car) is not ok, what do you think plz malcolm??

I seem to remember that on a couple of American cars (not sure about Mercs) the A/C cut off under full power situations (ie, drag racing from light to light).

Could that be the case here?

With an ohm meter, put one test lead in the center pin, and test the resistance of the two other pins, they should both be the same, you have the multi meter set to Ohms.


So 1 test lead in the center pin, and test across the other 2, one for each side

I made it Malcolm, values are the same 0.20 ohms something like this

what do you think malcolm with this values? the meaning is solenoids are ok so why i have warm air when i accelerate?????

When they are faulty they stay in the hot mode.

So either the solenoid is stuck, or the voltage to close it is too low

When they are faulty they stay in the hot mode.

So either the solenoid is stuck, or the voltage to close it is too low

the voltage is 11.80V and the solenoid voltage is 12V.

Hi Malcolm,

I have just made a way of 30Km and I have only hot air everywhere even if the command is at cold bottom??
Now the problem is only hot air and in the past i was only cold.
I 'll be crazy :(

what is part number N18/3 and numbers like 8.17.20.21... in 3th colom "Measuring Equipment / Test connection".

Remember 0 volts on the valve = hot and 11volts = Cold.

But this 11 volts is a pulsed voltage, if it was a 11volts DC the duo valve coils would get hot and would burn out

Ok i just made some measurment after disconnecting electric connector of duo valve and i was found that resistance between midlle pin and both of extremsits are about 20 Ohms, that's mean that solenoids are OK No???

Tell me plz Malcolm maybe i'm stupid, how to do to measur voltage with temp selector engaged in blue and red. I always disconnect the electric connector from duo valve's pins and then i do my measurment with voltmetre.
For exemple, when i was found 20Ohms in solenoids, the tension in electric connector disocnnected is the same think something like 13.47V :shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:
it does not matter if selector is on red or bleu position :Oops:

With all of these things it is hard to get a good volt reading with the plug off the duo valve, it is what we call testing under load.

You could solder some wires onto a car bulb, and put the wires into the plug that goes into the duo valve, as you turn the controls from hot to cold the bulb should light up on the cold position, it will be a flickering light, but it will prove that the control is working
