Hi,
I got a 1997 c200 recently. It was all fine when I bought it. After two months, I have just noticed that when engine is on idle, there is a rattling noise somewhere in the engine. When I push the rev up, the noise become faster, then at certain point, the noise disappears. Can I still drive the car or need immediate fix? What could be the cause of this noise?

Thanks,

A well known thing is the idler assembly on the front along with the belt tensioner

Will it go away after a few days? I have just changed oil today, and the problem still exist. Maybe I should put a bit more oil in ( I put 5 liters).
