Am I in the land of fantasy or should my open windows automatically close when i lock the car after exiting??

Only if you keep the locking button on the remote pressed for a further 10 secs or so after locking

You can do the same on unlocking, just hold the key near to the door handle and they will go down

thank you both been on holiday and hence late reply.

by the way 900 mile drive in appalling weather and traffic from newcastle to plymouth was a dream, so may well post a feel good post to counteract all the moaning ones!!
