Wifes car needed a jump the other day so thought I'd pull my e320 estate up and bob's your uncle. Trouble is I couldn't find the battery!!??? Handbook so right side of the boot but doesn't refer to touring (estate). Come on, somebody explain the absolutely obvious to me plz.

give us a clue, is that 124, 210 or 211 e320 estate? 124 under bonnet n/s/r. 210 under o/s/r seat base. 211 in boot at o/s of spare tyre.

jumping another car from yours may not be such a great idea though...........

as above, read up on the correct way to jump a merc as you can do a lot of costly damage

You're looking for the flux capacitor, its the triangular looking thing halfway between the drivers seat and the passenger seat. :rolleyes:

If its a W210 estate 1995-2003 its under driver side rear seat. The squab will come up and just remove the panel underneath. Its also a useful place for keeping spare bulbs and fuses.

A word of advice, dont even think of using it for jump starting, a voltage spike or electricla fault could prove very expensive.

There is a positive terminal under the bonnet, at the passenger side wheel suspension tower, its a black plastic casing approx 3 inches x 2 inches with a plus sign on the lid, flip it and you will see a terminal point.
