I've tried searching without any success to find out the date that the face lift model was first introduced for the W210 Estate?

Very late 99 on a V, although these are rare. Best to start looking on a W. Wing repeators moved to door mirrors is the easiest way to spot them. If you are looking for an E240, try to get a 2.6 version, launched in 2000.

Good advice - there are a number of earlier 2.4 240s around with the facelift body (I had one). There was a minor tweak facelift a couple of months after the main big one, that included the later engine. The only visual indication that I could see was a slight change to the gearshift lever!.

I'm asking as I'm still looking to buy a load cover for my 02 E220 and there is one on Ebay

The ads not the clearest and I've emailed the seller without a reply yet..as he says it's from a C Class then next a W210

w210 c class parcel shelf / load cover / dog guard in blue. came from 1999 e class estate. For the picture I can tell it's a E Class one but as I've already bought a Load Cover that was from a Pre face lift W210 I don't really want to have 2 of these in the garage

i have a 1999 e class (ok its a saloon) but its pre facelift. probably best to look for a 2000 model if possible, certainly w reg or later (mines v reg)
