Just picked up a '98 w208 clk c200. i loved it staright away and when test drove this morning it was fine. but on the motorway on the way home it wouldnt do more than 70mph.
i just about got it home, when stopped at traffic lights the whole car was shaking and it was really reluctant to rev and soo slow to accelerate its now really undrivable.

Is it serious?? is there anything i can check myself eg plugs, etc

have i brought a dud???????:cry::sad::-(

always worth checking it for oil contamination on a compressor engine, they usually respond well to cleaning.

Bosch are the cheapest,,you can get the insert to fit in your own housing for £57 or the complete thing for £157, or you could give MB £250 for the same thing

Only from Bosch Service centers here and find a dealer near you.

The inserts are held in with two torx looking screws

Watch out for the Torx screws. Some require a security bit with a hole in the centre and even then some security screws have only 5 sides instead of 6!
