Hi fellow forum members.
I just had a very nice visit to the local main dealer that suprised me, as they were actually offering some really good deals.
Anyway, I cold started and took an E270CDi (44k miles) out for a drive, which was very nice. The only thing that concerned me was that while it didn't struggle, I thought the start sounded a bit rough and the engine was noisey for a couple of minutes until warmed up. After that it was refined and performed great, but I don't know what these should sound like? Is it normal for the 270 to be noisy at start? 220's seem quieter.
The other thing was that when braking to a stop, sometimes I could hear an electric motor noise and SBC H came up on the display. Is the noise normal? Not the sound of the SBC pump wearing or something? SBC H makes me think it was hill hold locking the wheels or something like on the newer Audi's?
Oh and finally, I don't know what the motoring press are always moaning about SBC feeling too fake and detached as I couldn't even tell I was using SBC, the braking felt perfect and stopping was smooth.
Thankyou for your time
