BAS/ASR and ABS Warning Lights

I replaced the brake light switch last week, so now that BAS/ASR light doesn't stay on permanently after pressing the brake pedal. However, I'm still seeing the BAS/ASR and ABS warning lights coming on together intermittently. I read somewhere here that I could have a faulty ABS sensor on one of the wheels. Would anyone be able to tell me where I could locate these on a W208, and also whether there is any way to confirm that this is the problem?

Thanks in advance.

[Wasn't sure whether this should go under 'Electrics' or 'Brakes']

It could be worth plugging into STAR where it will tell you where the fault is

Thanks for the info, Malcolm.

How much do you think a dealer would charge to hook it up to STAR? I wouldn't mind getting a general health check done on the car, anyway.

that is way ott. reading the codes is quick, and an entirely known quantity. i think nodger needs to find an independent specialist. where are you nodger?

Hi Alexander, I'm located in Dublin. I have a very reliable mechanic, but he doesn't specialise in Mercedes cars and I don't think he has STAR. Have you heard of any good indies over here? The local dealer insists on taking the car in, and won't just allow me to drop in for a quick fault reading.
