Distance to next service indicator?

The wife nicked my BM today, something about needing more chairs to lug her mate around on a coffee morning, I'm coming back as a Woman in the next life

Anyways after firing her SLK up I was expecting to be advised when the next service was due, I thought the mileometer showed this for a few seconds, or did I dream it.

If it's like our E class, it only flashes up if there are 1000 miles or less till the service is due.
