...since the departure of my 280CE and my old Ford, so picked myself up a 1999 C43 AMG estate today.

There is a catch, of course - the gearbox is broken :(

Never mind, gives me something to fill those dark winter evenings :D

I'll post up some pictures when I get the chance.

Gearbox £2157 +vat, Torque converter £901 +vat. I managed to lever a reasonable discount from my parts provider, but I do spend circa £3000 a month with them, so I deserve it really.....

So, they gave you a discount automatically? I see. I think.

The prices quoted are what the man in the street would pay if he walked through the door. I had a small discount off that.

I don't know if I should say what I actually paid.

I really should have updated this a while ago...

The car is all finished, and a mate has fallen in love, and is collecting it from me tomorrow :(

I will be sad to see it go, as it has great character, but needs must and I have enough toys really...

Couple of pictures...

My friend wanted a towbar on it, so I have fitted one... Shame really!

The thought of that with a caravan attached is shocking and scary.
