Hi,
The reserve of the fuel tank of a facelift W202 C class is 7 litres (all engine variants), for info the tank is 62 litres total capacity.

I'll do 40 miles in mine with the light on - but won't push it much further. Even then I can't get 60 litres in, but I did have a misfire once for about 400 yards before the petrol station (after about 40 miles of not driving too much like a granny) so I'm a little more careful now.

If you cannot get 60 liters in,,what you do get in will tell you how much was left

Very true, and it is surprising how much you may have left, even after pushing your luck! Best not to learn the hard way though.

So, I think it varies from model to model, but correctly set, it gives a decent distance.

Yes it must,,I said just under two gallons on a 60 liter tank, and 2 gallons is under 9 liters so I was not that far out when in fact it was 7 liters, my tank holds 80 liters
