On my C230 SE 2005, there is a hole in the underside of the cill next to the plastic jacking point support. It appears that at some time, it had a plug or something in it holding a part of the cill in place, but it is missing. Can anyone recognise what it is and what the replacement part is called. Its about 25mm in diameter.

This is hard for me,but have you looked at the other side to see if it is just a bung or fastening

Yes it is a fastening. hold 2 sections of the cill together.
But its just a hole and I am no sure if a captive nut or an insert go into the hole and a bolt or what ever to fix it.
if I go to an MB dealer hould they be able to obtain one?
