Anyone know the correct torque setting for the front pair of bushes on the rear sub-frame for a W210?
Is it 70Nm as per the W124?

Thanks Malcolm,
You should be able to access my email from my profile.
I must admit though, that I've muddled through and replaced the front bushes on the rear sub-frame.
I also replaced both front hubs, a front lower ball joint (the gaitor had perished) and both front disks and pads at the same time.

It took me most of the weekend and the ride is much improved. No lairy driving until I know that I've torqued up the subframe properly and the front discs have bedded in.

Cheers, Malcom.
No to see what I didn't do , but should have!

I don't think I had any bits left over, which is always a good sign.

Ah... 90Nm instead of 70. Looks like I'll be crawling under the car again tonight!

I'll put together a DIY thread for this.

Along with how to cope without those expensive tools.

I didn't realise that I could have taken the bushes apart, although a cold chisel, lump hammer and elbow grease persuaded them to part company with the subframe.

In my case the central pillar pushed out of the one bush by hand! (Once I'd removed the safety washer.)

The ride is vastly improved. One day I may replace the rear pair, but as they're not a general stock item at my local stealers, I'll leave it for now.

Just need to get the tracking set as replacing the bottom balljoint has upset it.
