My driver's seat always seems to have a bit of fore-aft play in it, no matter where it's positioned — as if the "teeth" on the rail have too much gap between them. The movement is only around ¼" (6mm for the youngsters).

As the seat movement has some friction in it, this doesn't cause an issue, but it's noticeable on braking and acceleration when the seat moves very slightly.

Anyone else found this? Is it normal? or something I need to fix?

This is not normal and should be no play, I take it the rails are all tight, you may have to remove the cushion to see

OK, thanks. I'll take a look. Presumably your famous instructions are from WIS, in which case I can get them myself to save you the trouble — or do you have anything over and above that?

The instructions for removing the squab are in WIS, I have nothing better to offer

Thanks again — I'll have a good poke around later. It doesn't feel like something's badly loose — it's the cushion that's sliding, not the entire seat.

Then just the screws holding it loose :D
