Enjoying the welcome so far but facing a few fault codes which I would be grateful for help with!

The first and most important relating to the Traction/ABS switching itself off at random, more frequently in the rain than otherwise. Codes are

C1140 Steering Angle Stored sensor N49 and
C1504-008System switched Stored off Steering angler sensor not initialised No steering angle initialising

I had the tracking reset with Steering wheel aligned dead straight which fixed it for a while, but lights keep coming on.

Any help or wisdom greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Nick

Now really the car should go on STAR to find the true dead center of the steering box when the tracking is done or problems can arise. So we really do not know if the sensor is faulty or not

Could it be that the tracking was done on the front wheels and not 4 wheels

If the mechanic adjusted the front only it causes the steering angle sensor to be off centre, they do have a small amount of give and take, around 10-12 degrees or there abouts, any more than this and it will throw a fault

It would not help with 2 wheel or 4 wheel, the dead center can only be found on STAR and the box must be centralized first, that could be the only problem

OK so need to find a reputable specialist, doesn't sound like a kwik fit number! Many thanks!
