took delivery of my 2003 mb c200 2.1cdi auto last week,, must say i love it having owned several range rovers etc its definately up there in the must haves for me. its got a little problem with the ignition/key which the dealer is sorting as soon as i get my v5 back, apparently mb need it to order the key? (trying new key first then new eis if needed), having read this and other forums it seems like its the key to me, give the dealer his due he didnt moan at the price he just said it needs doing so it will be done. overall very happy with the car.

yeah its great, just a pain to start sometimes, its an avantgarde so the seat goes back and forwards with the ignition, sometimes it goes forwards and then straight back, other times you cant even turn the key till you give the sensor on the key a little wipe

Carefully clean the hole in the switch, there is a red lens in the bottom, and well worth cleaning that, use something soft so as not to scratch the plastic lens
