c270 cdi
Hi, im new to this site but own a 2002 mercedes c270 diesel estate, was useing every day untill last week it decided to not change gear im pretty sure its in second maybe 3rd but i dont think it is, it will let me drive her up to 60mph nearly hitting the redline,

after lots of searching a main problem was the conductor plate/speed sensor, and the plug which plugs into that, so i replaced both of these with new parts, changed the oil new filter and no change, (gutted)

any help would be highly grateful.

When you replace the said items, did you notice a lot of oil in the plug that fits into the gearbox??????

With luck it can be washed out with lighter fluid and dried somewhere hot for an hour or two

It is often in the passenger foot well, I can check for sure later, the whole harness will have oil in it, but most will run out, mine was oily but it did not affect the gearbox.

Please just repost here tonight to remind me
