New CLS55

Picked it up yesterday and very pleased with it.

Drives like a 55 should - having previously owned both a CL55 and SL55 it was nice to feel the torque and hear that growl again after the more subtle C32.

Paintwork could do with a go over with my Meguiars G220, it has the usual swirls and light scratches that most obsidian black cars seem to acquire, but once does it'll look a million dollars.

Only interior issue is that the centre cup holder cover doesn't lock in place.

Malcolm - would you be kind enough to email me the destructions for a centre console removal ?!

Hi Malcolm - it's to take the cup holder cover off and find out why it won't lock in closed position.

Hello Simon - long time no converse ! After 13 hrs of car type stuff yesterday, Mrs CJ would shoot me if I went for a jaunt. Today will be visiting the folks at a sedate pace. May get some time to play with everything inside, get the phone set up etc if I'm a good boy

What is it about Obsidian black? Mine could also do with a little TLC.

Dunno Nemesis - but I keep on getting them ! My CL500, CL55, SL55 and now the CLS were or are Obsidian black. Mind you, when they're clean and shiny they're unbeatable !

I must admit, I do like polishing a panel and doing the before and after shots....
