mood lighting

When I brought my CLS it had what the seller described as mood lighting, interior lighting, this resemble some dimmed lights just above the rear view mirror and also a set in the headlining around the middle of the car, normally in other crs I hve owned these are simply on /off reading lights etc but these stay on and frankly arent the least distracting. My question is to discover if this is standard in the older CLS's and if it got carried over into the new (latest) shape ones.......Guess I could phone a dealer but tbh i might be better off guessing...

Many models have the lighting from the mirror, a very nice touch

The ambient lighting was standard on the W211's also - it can be adjusted up or down via the cluster menu

Ambient lighting...I knew there was a better word for it..

I am gladthe continued it in the current model helps my thought process when trying to find reasons not to swap.....
