Hi,
Not sure what to call it but going on some insurance websites it allows you to put in your cars reg no and will populate the fields of the web site with various info. But as my car is modified with the larger capacity engine and as its on the logbook as such it populates the new larger CC engine.
Now as the engine size is on the logbook, the site tells me that its a larger engine, and it populates the fields within the online form, do I have to declare the engine as modified? As reg. no. input has effectively done this, and in fact there is nothing to declare.

Yes, the engine swap needs to be declared, it's not the sort of car to run through an internet insurance price comparison site, it really requires a specialist insurer.

We insure engine-swapped cars in high volumes, feel free to get in touch:

Wish i could find an insurance company that understands airside as easy as that, without having a heart attack and charging a fortune .... not good when they leave you without the legally required cover whilst on your way to work :p
