If anyone saw the TV programme last night on road safety they might. like me, have been amused at the presenter (and others) who exhibited the lethally dangerous fault that some accuse women of - their inability to hold a coversation while driving without making frequent (and often prolonged) eye contact with the front seat passenger, or in this case the camera.
I doubt he will live long if he really does drive like that but what an example to set!

There were some interesting subjects, though.

Anyone had experience of the "junction clearing" (scrapping roundabouts and traffic signs) ?

Not come across this, but it sounds like a good idea. While they're at it, they could get rid of some of those stupid chicane things that force oncoming traffic into the path of more traffic. And speed ramps.

Do you know the speed limit in central London sir ?
Yeah, it's 40 or 50 isn't it ? ;)

Spanish drivers have been doing that for YEARS - ignore everything and drive everywhere in the shade.! ;)

I can think of quite a few roads that are festooned with unnecessary signage that could do with "pruning" A140 south of Diss to Ipswich for one.
