95 e300d duel heating bulb replacement advice

I have 2 dials for heating left one fan ... drivers side air direction the bulb appears to be away on this one any know how to remove ,,has the whole console to come out and if so how...or any previous posts could I be directed to them. Thanks.

Just pull the knob off, you can use a pair of pliers with a cloth on the knob, and the bulb can be withdrawn with a fat straw

You were correct about removal ---- but it appears I need to go a little deeper as it the outer dial bulb I need ..but I see a nut which I assume if I remove will let the whole switch come out and let me locate the other bulb. Thanks

Only the 1 bulb in each side behind the knob

Even when I remove the switch from the side that's lit and remove bulb from centre of switch ... the surround is still lit showing the fan speeds ? I think the bulbs I have removed light up the arrow/pointer in centre of switch to show where or what speed heaters set at.

If you remove the 2 big nuts (1 behind each of the knobs) and then on some models 2 little screws on the underside of the wood by the radio, the wood panel will come off, then there are another 2 bults that light the outer rings you are talking about.
(this is a w124 not w210)
