Dear all

After much searching online, I seek your expert advice.

I have a 348 pearl blue car with contrasting lower body panels and bumpers. It's a face lift model so all trim is colour coordinated.

I am after a full set of panels and have found a chap online selling this exact thing. The donor car appears to be same colour as mine. The paint codes match and they are the same age, but where can I check that the body panels will match? Was this a customisable option when new? Some may have ordered a 348 pearl blue with different body panels to mine, or was it just factory selected. If you choose a particular colour, the car would be supplied with corresponding panels?

I'm keen to find out as I'm having them delivered at great expense and would hate for them to be the wrong colour!

Also, how easy/ difficult it is to replace front and rear bumpers? Do the headlights need removing for the former? Do the panels simply clip-on-clip off?

Best wishes, ImageUploadedByTapatalk1351941629.385203.jpg

I think that member grober has a chart of the 2 colours that went together on the 124 post 1990 cars,,,this was standard on most colours.

Most of the bottom panels have just one screw holding them and they slide off.

I have the bumper removing instructions for the front that you can have.

I had a 300TE without the panels and added them, it all quite easy to do

There's a page on my website which shows most of the combinations

I've only seen Pearl Blue with one shade for the kit so, unless either car has been painted at some point, I think you will be OK

Thanks to both - much appreciated. I'm going ahead with the order, and look forward to shiny new bumpers.

There were 2 light metallic blue paint finishes around that time Pearl Blue 348 and Diamond blue 355 Both, you will be happy to know, used the darker blue Andorblau 5301 for the bumper and lower body trim panels
