Human nature is probably such that if you have offered the car up for £15k bids will start below that figure.......doesn't make £15k wrong nor £14k wrong.
Stick out for £15k if you truly believe that is a fair and proper market value.
It was on the news this morning that the auction price of good used cars has gone up by almost 9% over the past 12mths.

It all depends on how long you wait, as prices do fall over the months

You seem to be there or thereabouts it depends on how quickly you want to sell.
If its a gem you should get nearer your price, best of luck you only need one.

Very painful as I was thinking about getting an SL55 but no more, going to try and get a CL instead for keeps.

OK on the CL you cannot drop the roof, but roof down on motorways is not nice, the CL is really out of this would for luxury travel, a competitor to the Bentley market and it does the job very well

Go on Glass Guide and enter registration number.... will get prices for private sale, dealership and trade in... I have found it helpful when I was checking out prices prior to buying my SLK 200
