Warning Bonnet Open! Problem

Hi, ive just picked up a clk 270 cdi today, while im well pleased with it I have a annoying problem.

Everytime I pull off I get a warning the bonnet is open when it really aint, the garage said they will try sort it tomorrow but I'm wandering if there is anything I can do?

Check the switch located on the bottom of the bonnet catch, they pop out.

Had this on my R230

Open the bonnet and drop it from about 10" sorts the switch out !

Not if the switch has popped out(away) from catch.

As above, switch under O/S catch, usually pops back in OK.

Wicked, is out easily located? As in could I go and do it now with a touch?

Is it just the plug thats supposed to pop back in?

I tried pulling the plug off then pushed it back on but still nothing, ive just unplugged it now and seems to of gone but I want it sorted, could it just need a new switch?

I told the garage today that I disconnected it and the problem went so they just said they'll fit a brand new latch.
