both very nice cars. CLS perhaps more suitable for a family than the CL though

Yes, and if this was just the ordinary CLS that would be correct. But look at the video from 3:10...Harris very clearly lauds the inclusion of 5 seats on the SB.

It is a 4 seater no matter what anyone says, the same as mine in the rear, there are many test calling it a 2 plus 2 so that driver was wrong, you cannot have a center seat with that storage box there

Found another report where it has the split seat option now, and something offered since it was first tested so 4 or 5 depending on the rear seat type

The one I have seen only had 2 proper seats in the back. The third was no more than a leather in fill panel with a seat belt i.e. just enough to call it a 5 seater.
