ML 270 poor fuel consumption

Hi There,

I have a 2000 ML 270 cdi. It has all of a sudden become very bad on fuel. (it covers about 40 miles to 1/4 tank). Is there anything obviuos I should be looking for?

You would have to be leaking fuel to use that much.....have you looked around? Your motor would be very hard pressed to use such an amount. Are you sure you filled the tank properly?
