Same thing happened to me with one of the 265/35s on the back of mine in Reading recently.

Kwik Fit advised me not worth suing Council although I did see they had filled in the hole within 24 Hours.

Urgh. Hope you get it fixed soon. You didn't fancy using the "Tirefit" sealant ? or was the tyre too far gone ?

The problem is I don't actually live in Brent and had driven on for a while before i realised the tyre had gone. I couldnt say exactly where it happened as it was dark and abslolutely pelting down with rain. I just dont have any evidence.

The SL55 comes with a tube of "Tirefit" sealant in place of a spare wheel. If the puncture is too bad, it cannot be used, hence my question to the OP.

Unfortunately, I had all of that removed...This is what is in my boot now. Great for beautiful, incredible sound....Not good for punctures.

I don't have a spare tyre or puncture repair kit. So, it had to be put on a flatbed. It can't be towed as its too low and that would have scratched the front off.

It is a nice car...Looking to sell it though!

Punctures are an everyday hazard that hardly merit a lawsuit (or a bitch thread). Actually, it was you ^^ & not Brent Council that put your car on a flatbed.

didnt he say he ended up putting it on a flatbed, and not the council? At least thats how it reads to me.

bizarre comment - bad hair day?

the thread was about the fact that a pothole wrecked a tyre.

Seems a good enough basis for a "lawsuit" to me

Only if the council were aware of the pothole for >24hrs
