Hi folks. My tuning chip has just arrived for Mrs BT's new (to us, 06 in reality) A180 CDi. It's hammering down outside, and a quick wet look with a torch under the bonnet is frustrating, and the search bar's barren!

Can some kind person tell me where the plug is to speed things up? Suspect removal of airbox and/or other bits may be needed?

Ta muchly.

Yup. "Fit to common rail sensor plug", and a pics of 170CDI/Vito/etc units, which aren't especially similar!

Bump! Any ideas? Had a good look - can't see it anywhere. Thinking I may have to take off the airbox and all the stuff molded to it, which is a pain in the backside??

I would recommend you to throw that 'powder box' as far as you can, but...

usually in mercedes common rails the pressure sensor is located in the front of the fuel rail (pressure regulator is back of the rail then). A-class has some peculiar solutions to all constructions, so I cannot guide you for sure how the rail is located in the engine bay, but you should be able to find it. Follow pipelines either from high pressure pump (star shape block) or from injectors.

Thanks. Well, the engine is remarkably gutless for a 2L, so I thought I'd give it a go. If it's not good, I'll bung it on the W210 320 and see what happens - they seems to get some positive feedback.

Suspect that removing a lot of plastic and pipes is necessary, so may just go straight to plan B and do the 320.
