I am just about to change the rear brake pads on my ML430 (Yr 2000). Euro Parts offer a selection of different makes from Eicher at £31-80 to ATE at £66. Is there any advantage in paying more money? Euro Parts have 'Recomended' against the Pagid pads at £41-40.

What about Mercedes pads? Have you had a price from the dealer?

Have used Eicher on many cars in the past and have no complaints thus far.

Prices do vary wildly - but not necessarily with quality. Eicher, Pagid and ATE are all reputable OEM type manufacturers. You'd probably find their products in a mercedes box.
BTW - don't forget the 25% discount code for Eurocarparts.
I slipped up and forgot it when I ordered my engine mounts. They kindly applied it retrospectively but they don't have to!

IIRC Euro's are doing 31% of this month on brake parts.....a google should get the code. If not use the 30% code from the "other side".

The code is PAGID30.

Mercedes do not make any pads or disks, Pagid probably make them

No one suggested MB make pads but quite often the dealer price is very competitive. Always worth getting a price for comparison.
