This will give you an idea of prices. 'X' Reg from about £1.5k up. Post 2000 facelift cars are better.

Do a forum search on R170 SLK - there's plenty of info on what to look out for.

I px mine about 25 days ago,slk 230 2002 model 90.000,full service history good condition etc just serviced with 18 SLR rims.It is still there www.carstable.co.uk/ I think the price is reasonable .I would have checked the roof, tyres, suspension there are not cheap.Otherwise all the usual checks.
The price depends from the year ,model, automatic or manual l and of course mileage.
I hope Ive helped a bit!

I bought mine end Aug. I'm really loving this car :D Its a 230 auto, 75k miles costing a mere £4200 but what a pleasure to drive. And that roof . . . . :)

Get one!

Try and get a facelifted model. The rust is less of an issue and the styling slightly tidier.

Have a good feel around the rear arches and where the front wing meets the headlights.(take a magnet)

My Missus has owned an R170 . R171 and now an R172. They're great cars and the R170 are really bargins now, if you buy right.

Absolutely! Especially the non-metallic fire-engine red ones.

By the way - I got a stainless exhaust custom-made for mine with a bigger bore (cat-back system) and noted a huge improvement in fuel economy.

Perhaps you should do a research on forums so that you can have an idea. But i have to say that 320 CLK is a beautiful car!
