I parked my car this morning and was affixing the parking ticket when I noticed movement on my back seat.
There was a monster of a spider crawling down to the carpet. God knows how it got in.
Ive decided to leave it where it is for the day. We get large spiders where I live so I shall release it when I'm home.
I wouldnt wish crappy Blackpool even on a spider!!
See how nice and considerate I really am ?

We never throw spiders out of anywhere. They are lovely little creatures. Wait a moment I'm fibbing,we do evict them from the bath, but thats for their own good. Even then we would just put them in another room.

If it were in my car, it would be the more common, squashed species.!

Oh Yuk. How horrible.

My old 230e used to have a huge one living under the bonnet and my husband wouldn't get rid of it for me, he kept telling me they can't get inside the car. I knew he must be wrong, now you've given me proof! :(

No its not a rare one..
Its just large and thick set.. It just took me by surprise as its not the sort of thing I expected to see first thing in the morning in my car..
I never kill spiders, but sometimes I have to remove them to another place for their own safety..

I have been in an attic recently with hundreds of them and webs like a Hammer horror film.

I have a sort of admiration for spiders but some are just too big for me to risk picking up...
Let me explain.. EVERY spider is capeable of biting a human (No seriously).. Yes the venom in UK spiders isnt that strong but the mouth poarts are designed to puncture an insects exoskeleton. By comparison human skin isnt a problem.
Before you all laugh at me I can tell you my boss was bitten 3 times by a money spider (I am not joking)...
I watched a large spider through our shed window attacking a beefy moth last summer..
When you see what they can do it does make you think a little before grabbing them.
Many moons ago I kept snakes but NEVER poisonous ones..Just constrictors.

I used to have a fear of spiders until I was 13 when I went to Bristol Zoo and the Really Wild Show happened to be there. I was asked if I wanted to hold a Mexican Black Tarantula. It turned out to be quite an eye opening experience even at my young age and I was taught how to handle a spider properly. Since then I have no fear, which is just as well as my Mrs will not go near them and shrieks at the sight.

I thought all spiders were called Spencer, (you have to have watched "Are you being Served") Good on you for saving it,and extra good for saving it from Blackpool)

I like em because they're ancient, primitive, interesting. Some exotic ones are quite beautiful. I don't understand human squeamishness, although I understand some species need to be handled with caution ...

Our cats eat them, crunch crunch. They are a good source of protein I think ...

It is so simple with a glass and just slide a paper under neath and you can move them out,,, I could never kill one either, I feel bad if I do kill one accidentally
