- W124 E320 Coupe - 1994
Hello all,
I have just taken my (relatively) newly purchased 1994 E320 coupe in for a thorough check over and the dreaded B service.
As well as fixing a few minor annoyances, the garage has come back with a couple of more serious issues...
Apparently the ball joints on the front suspension are worn and need replacing sooner rather than later. I have been told that because I have Sportline suspension, this is a much more costly job than with the standard suspension; they've quoted over £1,000 for the work!
Is this reasonable and something you have to suffer for having the Sportline suspension, or am I being led along here?
Incidentally, the oil leaks from the timing and rocker covers have been quoted at £600 to fix, to give you an idea if they're on the money in terms of pricing...
Any advice would be most welcome from this now much poorer newbie!
Alex
