Will the glow plug light fail current MOT Test - confusion?

My CLS320 glow plug light is coming back on for about 30seconds which means a glow plug (or two) are dud, however, there's vagueness about the new MOTs checks on warning lights.

Depending on what you read, there are specific warning lights that are definitely checked, and there's some folk who say ANY warning light will cause a fail - who's correct?

My car starts absolutely fine so I was just going to ignore the warning lamps.

Heard about a colleague who's BMW failed its MOT because the turn indicators lights were not working in his console- it cost £600 but BMW paid the majority as it was just out of warranty - yikes?

My wife's a class has the same and has just passed its mot ok, make sure the car is hot when it goes in and the lights will be ok as long as they extinguish as I was told by my indie

No. The glow plug light is not the engine management light which as I understand, will now fail the MOT if it is permanantly lit.

I had this problem with my a class however I failed my mot test. Which meant I had to replace it

The only dash lights that will fail the MOT are ABS lamp, turn signal telltales and mainbeam telltale. None of the others are testable items. Some or all of them may?will come into the scope of the test at some date in the future, but there is no certainty on this yet.

Lots of confusion around this, but that's the bottom line
