Hi Guys,

Picked up the car from the main dealer yesterday with the new ECU....New problem now.

When i started the car after filling up with petrol i got the message "ABC - Drive Carefully"

Does this mean my ABC pump is failing or could it just be a glitch...

Having just spent 2k on the new ECU etc, I'm not really too thrilled about this!

Any words of positivity MUCH appreciated!

Actually it is often just poor connections in the ABC ecu that cost £925, it was in my case, I re soldered them all and the car was fine for 4 years on.

Does it say car too low, or anything else

if you remember i had that coolant problem a few weeks back? it turned out to be the ecu so that was fixed, but now the abc issue although it's only flashed up once. the suspension looks fine if I'm honest. just a bit worried.

When mine kept going "ping" and visit workshop MB could not find the fault with mine it went back 10 times.

I bought my own STAR and went into the system and in my case it said b27/1 sensor faulty. I changed that and it made no difference, it was a poor connection on the ECU, the thing was it thought it was the sensor as it could not find it, so you have to read between the line when using STAR.

Do not be worried, its only come up once, it may never come up again

thanks Malcolm. I'm thinking that maybe when they put the new ecu in one of the connectors came loose. wishfulwishful thinking?

A star test will answer this one... doubt it has anythign to do with your ECU problem.

We all know the tandem pumps are problematic... a quick test on Star to see how much pressure its kicking out will answer the question.

You can only get them from MB... other places sell them but there isnt much of a saving..

We have been talking about the odd glitch that can come up quite a bit today.

Pleased its all fine, the 230 is very good at throwing some message, fortunately most are false
