I've just bought a 2012 c220i elegance facelift model with standard headlights.
These I find poor and wonder if it is possible to upgrade in any way?
The car is 6 months old so I would not want it to affect the warranty.

thanks in advance for any advice.

H7 for both main and dipped beam.
Would you replace both?

A hard question as I do not use the mains that much, I changed both on my CL140, but only the dipped on my V70R.

If there is any down side the life is not as long as normal bulbs.

I changed both on my S204 - and do not regret it.

Slightly off topic - although I find headlights ok I am underwhelmed by the dim reversing lights, which don't show up anything, other than warning others. Is it possible to upgrade these, too?

Interesting question, not sure if they are part of the warning system, one has to consider the wiring size as well and components in the switching. LED maybe

LED will work with compensating resistors or CAN compatible lamps. AFAIK 21w is the max one can show to the rear
