With thanks to Dr Nab I've seen some wheels on ebay.

OK, it's decision time for me - to bid or not to bid .

Here's the stats

W211(mine- standard 18's)
Front ET30
Rear ET31

W219 (CLS- the 19" ebay wheels)
Front ET25
Rear ET28

In my MB wheel brochure these 19" optional wheels for CLS (as above) say only suitable with Airmatic - I have Airmatic.

Will they fit?
Will they look silly?

Will I need different bolts?

EDIT.
The only 19" options for E Class have 245 front and 275 rear
The CLS tyres on the Ebay 19's are 255 front 285 rear.

Will this make any difference?

Thanks,

Thanks Malc,

The sizes on the ebay wheels are aren't on this chart, which is the same info as the wheel brochure.

It's close though .

Then use the link in my post.

Just remember that the ET is mm either in or out. So say your wheels are ET28 and you fit ET25, the wheels will fit 3mm further out, if the figure of the new wheels is higher, then the wheels sit further in, and one needs to check the clearance from the face of the calipers so that the wheels do not foul them

The ebay ones have lower ET numbers.

Both are 8.5J and 9.5J but the 19" have wider tyres.

It's an information heavy link and I'm a simple person .

Just put in the tyre and wheel sizes recommended...and compare with the Ebay ones, to see how close they are.

I think they might be OK there are some 19" wheels with 275 and 285 tyres on the link list,,, the fronts not much with 255, all 245 but there is just one brabus wheel listed with a 255 tyre on an 18" rim ET30

It produces the same as Malcs site and the brochure - it doesn't say whether the different ET ones from the CLS will fit.

Did you want to buy Mercedes wheels, or Adaptables?

If Mercedes, then you can get them at about 1/2 price from Mercedes (and be sure that they're the right fit).

Having left a sniper bid, upon returning from my metal night, I see it's job done at £620.

Assuming all is ok, I is well happy :).

Result.

Although accompanied by a strange story from the seller they have the correct part numbers in the correct place (as per Alloy Wheels Direct) and are stamped Made In Belgium, which I believe is also correct.

A refurb is required due to kerbing, but they seem ok otheriwse .

Note, the centre caps were included too.

I think they will look silly. Get them refurbed (Rimfurbish West Brom) is the place. Replace the tyres and I will give you £400.00 for them. Only in jest I think they will look fine but I am very biases towards spokes they just look right.

And the 5-spoke wheels are much easier to keep clean. :D
