Rear Door Lock

Just noticed the nearside rear passenger door lock does not operate when pressing the remote key any ideas (Actuator faulty???)

If you manually open the door from inside it locks fine just wont open

Probably.

Does it even try to lock? Can you hear anything at all? On a previous car, it just needed a good lubricating on all the linkages inside the door to fix a similar problem.

They are on a Vauxhall too But if the linkages are tight, the motor tries, struggles & then gives up. :lol:

There used to be a problem on the early cars where the locking rod that passes through the inner door skin had a rubber grommet that was too tight at the top and this prevented the locking action.
