Hi Guys

My E-class's heated door mirrors do not seem to be working - have checked through my handbook for fuse location, but doesn't show where fuse is. Could someone please post description / picture of location of said fuse.

Chassis no...WDB210 Avantgarde
REG DATE 07-01-2002

Many Thanks in advance

Malcolm

There no fuses for this, I think off hand its driven from the outside temp probe in front of the bumper,,, is the outside temp gauge working

Hi Malcolm

Yes the outside temp is not working - on the dash it is showing the factory default of -38 degrees.

What is the fix

Cheers

The probe will have failed,, they are not expensive and they normally indicate 38 when bad :D:D

Just behind the bumper toward the passenger side

It is dead easy to do just look under the front bumper :D I believe it just pushes into a rubber grommet. they are not very expensive to buy,,there might be some on Ebay, I have never looked for them

Just fitted the sensor - and started the car and no difference, however drove round the block and suddenly all started working - I guess it needed to re-calibrate or whatever. Anyway pleased with outcome - info for anyone who has the same problem...............

Part no of sensor A007 542 1318
Cost £13.40 plus vat

Thanks for help
