Hi guys n gals

i cant remember exactly how many miles was on the 211 when we brought it but around 284k if i remember right? a touch away from 291k now so only about 7000 miles ISH since her last oil change

was driving yesterday when heard a new BEEP and had check oil level at next refuel message or something like that:Oops:..pulled off the motorway as i didnt want to risk anything and checked dipstick and although oil obviously over dipstick it wasnt too easy to get a 100% accurate idea of the level...picked up my dad and drove gently home...left it to all settle and just checked the level from cold and the oil level is more or less on the bottom arrow:shock:

im wondering if she has developed a oil leak...or she is using more oil? 7k is no miles at all is it:lol:..well not compared to what she used to do each week:lol:

were using the 430 over the next few days so no biggie but i obviously need to pop along to MBS with their new years supply of jaffa cakes:D

its at the min level so "Should" be ok for a short journey(shouldnt it?:?) or if not then what sort of oil should i buy? i have no clue whats best oil for her:Oops:.... and yes i know i am VERY bad as i have not checked the oil since about april:Oops::Oops::Oops:

with near on 300k under her belt i can forgive her if she is starting to use a bit of oil... but i am just a eeny weeny bit worried ( it dont take much or me though:Oops:)

thank god for a low oil senser eh!!

there ya go ..my new years eve waffling on post:lol:

You open wednesday Cole;)

Just buy a litre and stick some in, you are much more liable to use a drop at speed on the motorways due to oil splash, but as Cole you still have plenty in there. Keep the speed to under 100 and it will be better

Its what you were doing before you got into the slow lane :D:D

To lose say ½ litre in 7k miles is not bad,,, start to worry when you fill up with oil at every fuel fill up
