I recently purchased an 08 reg ML 320cdi. It has telphone pre wiring and I have been told I need a bluetooth HFP device. There are two options, apparently, the MB own device MB 6788000, and a much cheaper alternative the Viseo MBU 2000. Does anyone have any experience of these and suggestions on what I should buy. Thanks:)

Im in the same situation - so would also be interested in any responses.

However - there are many bluetooth options available on Ebay - so was just going to get one of these - especially as the MB salesman I was speaking to advised it was the best thing to do!!

I would agree with that, had a Viseo in my 2000 S Class for seven years, never gave me any problems, and I also never missed a call.

Hope this helps,

Tony

My experience of the video one was it did do some odd things... Dropping calls regularly... But I also had a video 1000 , from memory - non UHI Bluetooth , and its been perfect.

Go viseeo but make it clear to them when u but it it needs to work with your phone/ car Movo or u will want money back..

Hi. The salesaman who sold me the car also advised going on e bay and gave me the model number. I guess its about the confidence level of buying used for something like this. If for some reason it does not work properly what guarantee have you got. It may be worth for a few quid more to go for the MB one and have peace of mind. Hopefully

World of accessories is selling the MB HFP for £199.99 +pp. You can get them on e bay for less. Im going for the WOA option.

Viseeo dont sell direct to anyone except resellers.

Be aware also that there are a few iterations of the MB HFP cradle there are at least three different part numbers for the current HFP 2 cradle. Not all will work with all phones. Be sure that any discounted pricing is for the latest version.

Interestingly WOA have nicked our images from our website.

The description where they say the HFP uses the cars body as the antenna is incorrect. the HFP like the Viseeo uses the phones antenna it is only the SAP bluetooth cradle that uses the cars antenna.

Hi Just to let you know I went for the world of accessories option. Its now installed and working perfectly. My blackberry connects automatically when I get in the car (you need to set up the phone to do this) but calls are very clear. Not had any issues yet. Hope that helps
