And if the carriers don't fit the knuckle, will the SL knuckle fit the car?

I don't think wheels will be an issue.

I'm upgrading my brakes on my W202 to C32 AMG ones. I know of a guy in the States who fitted 6 pots to his W202 but he made custom carriers to the tune of $1700.

You may find it easier fitting the 6 pots instead as they might (I'm guessing) clear the steering knuckle better because they're smaller.
